Why the Teacher at Iepurașul Bocănilă Is Never Forgotten

As the school year draws to a close, there is something special in the air. It is a mix of excitement, gratitude, and just a touch of nostalgia. School bags no longer seem quite as heavy, notebooks are nearly full, and the children know the way by heart. But the most remarkable thing is something else: they have changed. They have grown. And throughout this journey—almost invisibly, yet profoundly—there has always been someone by their side: the primary school teacher at Iepurașul Bocănilă.

More Than Lessons: A Relationship That Matters

At Iepurașul Bocănilă Primary School, a teacher is much more than an educator. They are a guide, a source of support, a role model, and sometimes even a trusted confidant. They are the person who has been there every single day, whether a child arrived full of enthusiasm or with tears in their eyes. And it is hard to forget someone who taught you not only how to write beautifully, but also how to behave and how to see the world.

At present, seven primary school teachers are part of the teaching team at our school, each with a strong background in education. Some also have additional training in psychology, personal development, or educational management. Their experience ranges from teachers at the beginning of their careers, driven by genuine passion, to educators with more than 20 years of classroom experience. What they all have in common is a deep commitment to every child and the belief that education begins with kindness.

Behind Small Achievements Lies Great Dedication

On the surface, it all seems simple: one child reads fluently, another solves a challenging math problem, and another expresses their ideas clearly and confidently. Yet each of these achievements is the result of countless hours of thoughtful work, carefully adapted to each child's individual needs. Behind every seemingly small step forward is a teacher who patiently repeated a lesson, offered encouragement, and found a different approach when the first one did not work.

In the preparatory class and during the first years of primary school, children learn far more than the lessons found in their textbooks. They learn to trust themselves, trust others, and trust the learning process. Their teacher is the first person to nurture that confidence through every gesture, every tone of voice, and every response.

Bonds That Last Beyond a School Year

Children may not remember every lesson, but they never forget how certain moments made them feel. A teacher who quietly supports you when you are struggling or offers encouragement when you no longer believe in yourself is someone you remember for a lifetime. At the end of the school year, this is reflected in handwritten notes from little hands, wordless hugs, and the smiles that light up children's faces whenever they hear the word "teacher."

The end of the school year is about more than celebrations, flowers, and photographs. It is also a time for emotional reflection. Children begin to realize just how much the person who guided them throughout the year has meant to them. And in a place where human values are combined with the quality and consistency of a thoughtfully designed long-term educational program, like Iepurașul Bocănilă Primary School, these bonds continue long after the school year comes to an end.

That is why a child's first teacher is never forgotten. Not because of what they taught, but because of the way they were there. Day after day. With patience. With kindness. And with a genuine commitment to every single child.
